This week at Marmara Campus we looked at three strategies to use to help us choose a “Just right Book” from the library.
We learned TWO helpful words when it comes to choosing books
First word – browse
verb (used with object)
1.to eat, nibble at, or feed on (leaves, tender shoots, or other soft vegetation). like a giraffe does
2.to graze; pasture on.
3. to look through or glance at casually: He’s browsing the shelves for something to read.
When we browse for something to read we look at the displays, look at the shelves, take our time and look at many books. We c
an use our shelf markers to hold the place where the book was so if we don’t like it we can return it to the right spot.
Second word – peruse
