Amanda Bond: Teacher Librarian Marmara and Hisar Campus This is my 25th year of teaching; I have 9 years of IB experience. My career began in New Zealand where I was teaching English at Secondary School. I became interested in Inquiry Learning and trained as a Teacher Librarian. I worked for five years at Takapuna Grammar School before leaving to come to IICS.
I teach in both the primary and secondary school working with students to develop information literacy skills and to encourage a life long love of reading.
Dina Abizaid: Library Assistant Marmara Campus – Literacy Support My career as a library specialist started at the Children’s Department of the Peabody Massachusetts library, USA. Later my career brought me back to Almaty, Kazakhstan, where I am originally from. I worked at Almaty International School Library as a Librarian. Soon after I moved to Istanbul, Turkey I completed my MA degree in Information Studies at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. And now I am a library team-member at IICS. I am excited about this new library adventure where we will be reading books, exploring the Destiny world and doing research in the Library databases.
Lindsey Paze: Hisar Campus – Literacy Support and Systems and Service.
My name is Lindsey Paze, I have worked at IICS for 9 years, and run the small primary library at Hisar for 8 years. I have lived in Istanbul for many years but I am originally from the UK. I enjoy reading and pottering amongst my pot plants on my terrace.
I enjoy watching the students discovering the fun you can get from reading a good book.
