Emailing Class Groups of Students and Parents Emailing groups of Students and Parents can be frustrating as ManageBac doesn’t support sending emails directly (though it can send notification emails when assignments are posted or when messages are sent in the system). Here are the steps on how to email groups of students or parents directly. Step 1 – Navigate to the class of students or parents of students to email Step 2 – Export your class lists Step 3 – Copy emails that you’ll be emailing Step 4 – Compose your email That’s it! A new “feature” of the recent ManageBac upgrade is an overhaul of the annotation plugin which now uses Vantage to allow you to markup documents submitted by your students. Default instructions here. Unfortunately for many of us, this implementation didn’t keep in mind that not everyone has a super widescreen monitor to work on. This results in a less than optimal way of annotating, but there is a workaround. Currently, if you annotate on a standard laptop screen, you’ll find that you are highlighting and creating boxes around text to comment on only without any comment box to attach. It
Log on to iics.managebac.com Click the three lines in the top-left corner and choose which of your children you would like to view. Select the appropriate child from the top of the page (if you have more than one student registered on ManageBac). Select the Reports tab from the sidebar on the left-hand side. Here you can see your child’s Term Reports and Progress Reports. You can click on each report to view and download it as a PDF file, as well as print it.
Log on to iics.managebac.com Click the three lines in the top-left corner and choose which of your children you would like to view. Under the menu for Academics, click Progress. Scroll to the middle of the page, and under Progress, you will find a menu named Units of Inquiry. Click that and you will see the comments teachers have made about each learning unit.
While ManageBac unit archiving does not allow quick access to units of years past, it does provide historical Reflections & Evaluation of yearly units. Step 1. Edit unit plan Step 2. Reflections & Evaluation Step 3. Choose Year of Past Reflections & Evaluation
ManageBac does allow for units to be “archived”. This word is used incorrectly by ManageBac. If you assume that this is creating a snapshot of your units from year to year which can be looked back on, this is not the case.
